SPACE - Detection of Regulatory Elements with
Constrained Submotif Pattern Mining

Background

SPACE is a method for over-represented motifs in large sets of strings. Typical  applications include finding candidate transcription factor binding sites in DNA sequences. SPACE works by performing constrained frequent item set mining on submotifs.
